| Devin's fastball at this time is at an average level for high school. He has nice downward action that tends to move in on right handed hitters. This winter he will be working on developing his sinker so that the movement becomes later as it travels towards the hitter. His velocity will definetly increase as he becomes comfortable with his new mechanics that were introducrd to him this past Fall. | |||

| Devin's curveball has a 12/7 action to it. This is a pitch that works fine at this level but he's not satisfied with it and we have started to work new grips to see if he can get sharper/later movement to prepare him for college. At times Devin tries to over throw this pitch which results in a curveball that becomes inconsistant. A new comfortable grip is going to definitely help with the execution of this pitch. | |||

| Velocity wise Devin's change up is right where it needs to be as long as his fastball velocity increases. At times his change up will move to either side of the plate which helps him set up his fastball - whether he decides to throw it in or out to the hitter. This is a above average pitch at the high school level and I would project it to be a above average pitch at the college level. | |||

| Devin has a fresh arm. In the past he has played in the infield/outfield and pitched. He has begun his pitching focus over the past summer. He has long levers and is getting comfortable using them in a positive manner. His arm slot makes me believe he is going to be tough on RHH and with some adjustments the same to LHH at the college level. | |||

| Devin understands the improvements he needs to make with his mechanics. He is focused and has been very coachable. Devin also has committed to the weight room to develop strength which I see helping him build body control and power. |
