Peter Apostolopoulos [ 1st Base ]

Dear Coach ,

My name is Peter Apostolopoulos, and I attend Bill Crothers Secondary School in Markham, Ontario, Canada. I am currently in my junior year and will be graduating high school in 2013.

I attend a sports focused high school which has definitely helped me learn about training sports specific for baseball, as well as educating me about proper nutrition. Baseball has always been my largest passion throughout my life. No matter what kind of mood I am in, baseball always puts a smile on my face, whether I am talking about my favourite professional teams and players, or training to become the best player I can be. I hope to continue my post-secondary schooling in the United States and earn a scholarship.

I am very dedicated to my sport. I work out 5 times a week and I am in the cage approximately 3 days a week. I play on my Bill Crothers high school team, which has tons of potential to win our provincial championships, as well as playing on an elite travel team called the Ontario Prospects. My program allows me to workout with coaches like Rob and Rich Butler, who both played in the MLB and have tons of knowledge and experience to pass down. The program has also helped prepare me for the hectic schedule of balancing school and baseball. I have always had an average around 80%, and since my baseball schedule has become increasingly hectic as I have gotten older, I have still been able to maintain high marks, which I take a great amount of pride in.

I have a lot of family and friends who give me tremendous support and, with their influence; I am able to consider myself very mature and independent for a sixteen year old.
I know that if I set my mind on a task, I will accomplish it, no matter how daunting. I believe that my leadership skills, along with my personality and ability, will allow me to be a successful student, and athlete.
